Two New Seats for Holmebrook Valley Park
The Friends of Holmebrook Valley Park have obtained funding from the North East Derbyshire Accessibility Partnership fund to purchase two seats to put in the park.
These seats are intended for park users to sit and rest whilst enjoying the spectacular views from the upper level of the park. They have been set on a plinth to raise the height and have arms to make sitting down and standing up little easier for those with reduced mobility.
They are both sited beside the stone sculpture beyond the car parks at the pavilion. One faces south west overlooking the lake towards Linacre, Wadshelf and beyond. The second faces south east towards Chesterfield with views of the Spire, Bolsover Castle and Hardwick Hall.
They are very popular with the public taking a rest from walking, bird watching or just relaxing in the sunshine.
